bookshelves: ya, romance, to-read

I'm shelving this one for the time being.
A sadness. For sure.
I like it. I'm just tired of the "sequel formula."
It frustrates me, which makes me dislike a story.
And that makes me sad and grumpy.
Having said that, so far I really really like this book. More than book one in fact, I'm just not in the mood to read it right now.... Please don't try and figure me out, your brain might implode.
I have every intention of finishing it... maybe when Passion comes out in the summer?
Maybe.... The end.

Angela I like it a lot BUT.... I sorta kinda put it down a few weeks ago and haven't gone back to it. Mainly because I'm just so tired of the "sequel formula." Does that make sense? Am I being too harsh? Hm...
Did I mention I was enjoying it before I put it down? More than the first book, in fact.
I make no sense...

Darkfallen No you make complete sense. I have been battling the same thing actually. Hang in there though I think you'll find some interesting twists and turns that will get your attention. I just finished reading a book that I thought was the last in the series and it read more like a "bridger" book. If you know what I mean. Need less to say it ended with a cliffhanger and after doing some extensive online digging I find out there "might" be a next book. WTH
To say the review was hard to right would be putting it mildly. Lol

Angela I'm sure it was hard to write the review! Which book was it?

I remember (years ago...okay nearly two decades ago) I picked up a book and was so flippin' confused. Turned out I had picked up the third book in a five or six book series. After that, I made it a point to research every book before I even committed to picking it up. I'll also (normally) pass on series that are extensive. I just get so lost in those stories and the commitment is insane and intense. *coughHarryPottercough*

(fyi: I adore HP but the wait between books nearly did me in!)

Darkfallen I was reading the Generation Dead series and I have to admit they sucked me in. It is the only zombie books I have read and to my surprise I heart them even the gross ones. Lol. When I first picked up the first book it was my understanding that there was only 3 books. So after flyig through the first one I graves the next two. In about 6 days I was left turning the last page of the third book only to be left looking for more answers and a cliffhanger....ahhhhh!!! So I did some extensive digging on the net to find out that Charles Waters originally intended it to be a five book series but there is no word on the title or release date for the next book. WTH!!! I'm lost I tell ya, simply lost.
