This was a well written memoir, even if it drove me a bit crazy that the author ignored all the warning signs (plain as day) about the man she ended up marrying. As foretold on the book jacket, one day he simply drops dead on the kitchen floor. Over the ensuing months she finds out he was a lying, cheating, inglourious bastard. Gee, ya think? It's hard to watch such a bright woman make such a stupid choice, and have to experience her pain as her world unravels.
