it was amazing
Read from October 24 to 25, 2010

Whenever I stumble upon an adventure story I am reminded how exciting it is that some people live precariously passionate lives.

This book allows one to experience some thrills of the jungle. Be prepared they are usually ugly. In my mind anyway.

Yet the book is glorious and one I have wanted to keep telling others about.

There is a female explorer, whose name I haven't been able to recover, who went into the Amazon. I would like to hear her story too.

99.99% of explorers were men. Their women lived in poverty with children and constant fear.

Col. Fawcett's wife Nina wanted to accompany her husband but it didn't happen.

This book has current exploring, and environmental and medicinal value.
