This is the first book I've read by Julie Klassen and I've found a new regency author to enjoy!! I've heard her compared to a Jane Austen-type style, and although in a way I agree, I also think that she is much easier to read than Jane Austen, possibly because she is writing in modern-times. I didn't have to completely focus on each word--the writing flowed for me.

The book takes place in 1815 England, with Olivia finding herself in a sticky situation. She has to leave her family and ends up becoming an under nurse, then governess. I never really thought about how tough a governess's life would be, but this opened my eyes to it a bit more. There were hints of romance and mystery, although I would have liked to see just a little more in the romance department. All in all--I loved it!!
