What is there to say? The translation is solid, if not particularly stirring, blending word accuracy and artistic intent well. The story itself is a pretty typical epic, which, truth be told, I am not particularly fond of. More artistically strong than Homer's epics, mostly due to the fact that it was a written work rather than an oral composition, the Aeneid unfortunately mimics Homer, which leads to the unnecessary repetition of the first (in oral poems, such repetition is used for the sake of meter scanning and memory, in the Aeneid it is simple imitation). If you like epics, you'll like this, if you don't, don't get your hopes up.
