I love everything there is to love about the way Victoria Dahl writes a contemporary romance. They stand out. They're honestly funny with some serious electric sexiness. And this one, while not my favorite because of how rushed everything wrapped up in a sort of far-fetched way, which felt incongruous compared to the tone of the book, I absolutely loved how neurotic Max was. It's always the female! But not this time, which goes to prove that Dahl, with the humor of a frat boy, but the sexy eloquence of romance writer, nails another contemporary.
