"The civilized people in the world, the ones who hide behind culture and art and politics.. and even the law, they're the ones to watch out for. They've got that perfect disguise goin' for them, you know? But they're the most vicious. They're the most dangerous people on earth".. I love Harry Bosch novels.. This is one of the best ones. Harry is on involuntary leave and he's looking for his mother's murder which happens more than 30 years ago. I like that this novel tells the background behind the Harry Bosch that we know and came to love. There are some twists to this story. I was suprised when I read that the ending was nowhere near what I'd expected. In short, this is one of the best Harry Bosch novel ever written.
