** spoiler alert ** Although I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first in the series, there is still much to appreciate in this book. Mia has to give her first televised interview and she messes it up, "royally." This, to me, was true to life. Teenagers talking off the top of their head, not realizing that what they're saying will have consequences. Otherwise, much in the book is too fantasized--the country bumpkin relatives from Indiana, the name dropping at the gala, the incredible swiftness in which Mia's mother gets pregnant...I am still glad that the movies were unlike the books. Grandmere is no Julie Andrews. Instead, she reminds me of Mrs. Louder from The Drew Carey Show. Still a fun read. I'm on to the next.
