** spoiler alert ** I thought this was a much stronger book than the last one. The plot seemed tighter and more compelling. Unlike the previous book I never felt like Toby was missing something that was blindingly obvious.

May Daye is an interesting addition and I'm really curious to see how that plays out.

Even though I would have liked more Tybalt, I think McGuire was right to have him appear only sparingly this time.

Most of all I really liked seeing the vulnerability in Ludaeg. I always enjoy her. She's a fabulously complex character, trapped by very strict rules.
