Warning: this is not a travel guide. A memior, yes. Travel guide, no. If you read it knowing this from the start you won't be disappointed. It is, after all, a delightful little jaunt through Quindlen's memories of her misadventures and discoveries of her favorite city's literary haunts. A light read, it will inspire your own travel plans or, at the very least, amuse you for a few hours on a summer's day.
Now, if only Rise and Shine had been as good as Imagined London (oh, how dismally it was not!), I might actually consider perusing a few of her other titles!
