One of the best mainstream Superhero comics set in continuity I’ve ever read, which is not very high praise, I know. It definitely has an edge that most superhero comics have to step out of continuity (ie. Miller, Moore, Morrison) to achieve. Superhero continuity is like soap opera continuity-eventually it just becomes ridiculous. Maybe this edge was due to the fact that Wolfman knew he was probably writing the work he would be remembered for and maybe because he knew he was doing the impossible-permanently changing superhero continuity (or as much as possible).
