"In the sixty-first year of his life, Liam Pennywell lost his job. It wasn't such a good job, anyhow." And you can't figure out what's up with this loser. Then you see that somehow it's you as well. What are you pursuing foolishly? Why did you settle for less than you hoped for? How do these people around me come up with such off-the-mark notions of who I am?

In the end, having something to do, being solvent and reasonable healthy. Sitting in a comfy chair with a good book while a chicken roasts in the over. You "can almost forget that you've ever been wounded.
