Whenever I hear someone made a reference to P.G Wodehouse, they always go 'oh he's the best', 'I found his style quite amusing' ... Hugh Laurie even said Wodehouse's writings saved his life. Never a bad word.
Or maybe I wasn't looking too hard for it.




One Touch of Nature is definitely my favorite story in this collection.
JW Birdsey, a big baseball fan, went to see a game in Chelsea stadium. Giants vs White Sox. There he met two men, Waterall and Johnson. He asked them to join him for dinner, where he expected a long fun talk about baseball.
That didn't happen.
Waterall recognized Johnson almost immediately. Turned out Johnson's real name was Benyon, and five years ago he robbed a bank in New York City. Waterall made a phone call to the Scotland Yard. Birdsey felt a little admiration to Benyon, who had the balls to go from his hideout in Algiers to see a baseball game in London. And he thought he was a big fan.
