I don't know what to say...this is a really crappy book. It felt throughout as if it were written by 9th grade boys. I enjoy noir fiction because , at its worst, gives the impression of depth, if not actual depth. This book was a flat surface of childish pop culture references, often without a point at all. At times, one feels as if the writers must have had some sort of quota to work with, like maybe their publisher forced them to mention one not-so-obscure cultural figure per page. Bleagh.
