Read from March 11 to 14, 2010

I've given this novel 5 stars because in my view it is a novel of immense power. Ketchum's use of language perfectly (and horrifyingly) conveys the very nasty and graphic situations within this book. One chapter I found particularly effective consisted of merely a few lines in which the narrator of the story literally refuses to explain a particularly nasty incident. I actually felt a bit guilty and dirty after having read this, which i later read was exactly what Ketchum was aiming for.

Christina Wilder I give you a lot of props for reading this. Thanks for the review!

Julian Flack Thanks for reading :) I generally try to seek out books which are classed as 'challenging' and this certainly was that! I've only read one other Ketchum book (Off Season) which left me with a feeling of o_O.
