really, it was the title that snagged me. a book with my name on it? surely not, as "sarah" is one of the least common names in the twentieth century. intrigued, i bought the book.

and it was okay. i mean, it was 100% fiction, so that took away some of the grit right there. next, it was written by a woman, so there went the slightest chance of it being an autobiographical attempt guised as fiction; and
finally, it wasn't that cohesive. characters came and went, places and situations were introduced without any relevancy to the character or plot line; and at the end of the story, you were left with a slight "eh" feeling.
but there was something about it. maybe because i have never read anything that went anywhere NEAR the material (a boy who wants to be a woman, and so takes his mother's name, sarah, and proceeds to turn tricks for the truckers who frequent the road stop that he lives and works at), it stands alone in my mind.
