Small town newspaper reporter David Harwood's life becomes a nightmare the day he and his wife, Jan take their son Ethan to the local amusement park. His son disappears, but is quickly recovered by David who then learns that his wife is now missing. Not only that, when he begins to investigate his wife's disappearance, he learns that Jan is not who he thought she was and he is the main suspect in her disappearance.
Many convoluted paths lead to the solution of this mystery - some more predictable than others. The story has moments of page-turning suspense mixed with instances of eye rolling disbelief. Overall, a quick, easy read that wraps up neatly - possibly a bit too neatly for some, including me.
