I thought it was hilarious! Betty's humor is based on exaggeration and sarcasm, which coincidentally hit my own funny bone just right. I also thoroughly enjoyed the descriptions of living in the Northwest, not too far from where I live right now. Of course, I have modern amenities like electricity and running water, but all the tenets of the weather and terrain are still the same.
