I liked this book. I think it sent out a really impotant lesson.

This book is about cats, loyalty, and betrayal.

Fireheart(main character)thinks that Tigerclaw(traitor) is going to betray the whole clan. And he was right. Since Tigerclaw is deputy nobody really believes Fireheart when he tells the clan, so it's kind of hard to convince anyone.

I think that happens so many times in the world that we live in today. People like cops, preachers, policemen, get away the worst crimes because they have the town or city convinced that they're the good guys.

Tigerclaw does that in the book. He makes everyone think that he's a good deputy. The only cat he hates with a passion is Fireheart. That is probably why Fireheart was the first to notice that Tigerclaw was planning some evil plot. Tigerclaw being the worst cat ever to Fireheart, Fireheart looks into his evilness and finds out a lot.

This book sends out a really important message and that message is. Even the most trusted person will turn out to be a criminal.
