it was amazing
bookshelves: informational-biographies, award-winning, graphic-novel

Format: Graphic Novel
Interset Level: High School
Award: Sibert Honor (2001) This award is given for distinguished informational books. This book is deserving of this award because it does a nice job accurately showing how Pedro lived with AIDS.

This book follows Pedro's life during and after his time on Real World. Winick does an amazing job telling Pedro's story. I did not watch Real World when these episodes aired, but I still felt a connection to Pedro and Judd. I feel that I was able to have a connection because Winick did such a nice job explaining in details their lives before they were on the show. As I read I could feel how much he cared for Pedro.

L-Angelica Herrera-Vest I don't enjoy graphic novels but this book sounds like a book young adults would enjoy. Graphic novels is a great way to get students reading.

Madonnasharma I had trouble with the comic strip effect, but I did like the story.
