it was amazing
bookshelves: fantasy

Best of the three - which is obviously a pointless comment as you have to read all of them as a whole - but I was surprised at so many people saying otherwise. This just seemed to have more atmosphere.

This is the sort of young adult fiction that should be lauded and in a fair world rubbish teen-vampire-romance-wizardy-school-tales would be on the back burner whilst this was out front. Not to mention the very poor film that has probably served to do this more harm than good from those who will never bother with the books having seen the movie.

Daring, fully imagined ideas that do not treat young readers as idiots spoonfeeding them safe pap but encourages them to consider science, theology and their whole existence.
