I love Simone Elkeles. Her characters are most importantly BELIEVABLE. Secondly, her characters find themselves in real situations that any of us could land in. Finally, she sets up the characters to be on opposite sides and totally justified in their actions and THEN writes a plot where the characters transform their opinions/lives/thoughts, reversing their path at the start of the book. I don't know how she does it, but I'm jealous.
