A short but vivid account of a sailor who is trapped in the sea without anything to survive..It reminds me of Papillon though its not so detailed..The pain, despair he goes through, the fear of sharks, the sun beating down on him,the fright of dozing off and falling into the sea,the in-numerable hallucinations,to be reduced to an animal and think of eating paper, shoes, sea gulls..The story brings out the theme of "never to lose hope" and the ability "to stay alive" in a very apt manner.
