I didn't find this book at all like the twilight series. Sure, one of the main characters is an independent teenage girl who falls in love with a supernatural creature. But that wasn't exactly new when twilight came out either. The overall atmosphere is different, the characters themselves are extremely different, their romantic relationship has a totally different dynamic, and the plot is completely different. There were some minor plot holes, although you could explain them away by making assumptions. I guess they were less like plot holes, and more like the information just wasn't volunteered.

That being said, I really liked it. It was grittier than I expected, and touching. It was also more suspenseful then I expected. A good YA read, although I would recommend it for older YA readers.
