Twelve year old CeeCee Honeycutt has been caring for her mentally unstable mother her whole life - now a tragedy has occurred and CeeCee must go to live with her Great Aunt Tootie in Georgia. Feeling lonely and lost, CeeCee is surprised to meet her aunt's eccentric neighbors and feels as though there may be hope for a happy life after all.
A feel good story - plenty of fun & friendship. Published as an adult novel, but probably better suited for teens. Reminded me a little bit of Secret Life of Bees - though not quite as good.
