really liked it
bookshelves: comedy-satire

A biting satire on the corporation, Barry clearly has experienced the corporate world close-up: the useless suggestion box, the petty fighting over donuts, the profiling of workers and of course the dreaded “restructuring.” But what could easily become preachy and shallow is elevated by the novel’s elegant dark humor.

The characters are portrayed beyond their name-tags, as their endurance is tested by the latest cutbacks and management philosophies. Plot and character are well-matched, making for a darkly entertaining story.
