Harlan Coben’s latest book “Caught” completely captivates. From the first page of the prologue you will be “caught” by Coben’s intricate weave of lies and truth. I couldn’t put the book down; I was stuck to it, reading from the first page to the last in less than twenty-four hours.

Local news reporter, Wendy Tynes, has become quite famous in her New Jersey town for her “caught in the act” reports catching pedophiles as they attempt to meet young girls. Her latest target, Dan Mercer, is caught live on camera and the life he knows is ravaged. The man beloved for his time spent helping young children becomes a neighborhood abomination. Across town the following morning, Marcia McWaid finds her daughter, high school senior Haley McWaid, missing from her bedroom. From this point forward the book apprehends the reader. Is Dan Mercer really a child molester? Where is Haley Mcwaid? Could these cases be connected or is there more to this story than meets the eye? Wendy Tynes uses her investigative skills to go after the truth, seeking justice for all. The lies are deep and truly staggering, leaving the reader in astonishment. When the last page is done, only one question remains, could you forgive if your life was butchered beyond repair.
