I loved this book - thought it was really brilliant (and I love his music, as well). It is part of my inspiration for a picture book biography I am working on now!
oh, the author, M. T. Anderson, known to his friends as Tobin, was one of my mentors at Vermont College who really helped me with Converting Kate!That's why Kate is named Kate Anderson. I acknowledged all of my mentors by using their last names for characters. Strange I know. I love Tobin's picture books. He is so funny and passionate about history. You would do great with a history picture book bio! Go for it Woman!
