I generally like Jodi Picoult. This book disappointed me. A lot. I feel like she tried to incorporate far too many perspectives. And I didn't much care for the frequency of the time shifts. It was easy enough to follow, but I'm not sure it was necessary.

I did appreciate her treatment of the subject matter -- it was thoughtful, complex, and considered some difficult questions.

As a rule I find it difficult to put down a Picoult book. This one, I had difficulty picking it back up. Until the last 25 pages or so. And by that point... a little too late.
