Katie P I loved that this was so different from Time Traveler's Wife. It's by no means perfect, but it's still quite lovely. This would be an ideal fireside read in wintertime, snuggled in your favorite chair with frost on the window panes and hot tea always at the ready. I was stuck with Los Angeles autumn (no frost on MY window panes. Sigh.), but the comfy chair and hot tea were non-negotiable.
Anyhow, overall a great read. Spooky at points. Loved the exploration of life as a ghost; it never seemed cliched or trite. The author certainly relied on certain...is it legit to say established facts of ghostliness? But she used ghostliness that readers recognize in order to explore it further.
I advise you, reader, if you go for this one, do yourself a favor and wait for a cold winter day or, at the very least, a rainy one. And hot tea. Definitely hot tea.
