Nina's review of Mad Kings & Queens
Mad Kings & Queens by Alison Rattle
This is a quick, comfortable, intriguing read. The book is small, with smooth, think pages and is perfect for a short trip, pre-bedtime read or just the bathroom! It is divided into 3-page synopses' of some of the craziest countryheads... which is many, as inbreeding was common and power/wealth are dangerous. Toward the end (reading in a single sitting), it seemed pathetic and repetitive, but still entertaining nonetheless. A must for buffs of the historical monarchy. :)
