"You’re a stubborn, hardheaded, scientific practicalist, and all of this seems like a nightmare to you that you hope will simply evaporate when you wake up. But you don’t wake up from this.”
(page 284)

I loved Kat Richardson’s novella about Harper Blaine in Mean Streets. It’s what got me to read this first novel about Harper coming into her powers as one who lives in the World and one who experiences the Grey: the world of spirits, ghosts and the dead. But I didn’t love this novel. I have books #2 & #3 in the series, but I don’t know if I’m going to keep reading. We'll see.
