I'm always amazed at how much HATE people have for Hillary Rodham Clinton. I found this book at the library and on a whim picked it up, maybe just for the fun of irritating the ultra-conservatives around me. It's a politician's biography - lots of name dropping, flag waving, and what isn't said is probably more important than what is. But I finished it with more respect and admiration for HRC. Really interesting to look back at the first attempt to pass health care reform. And I do think HRC was as she put it Exhibit A for an ambitious, liberated, modern woman on the national stage. Just my opinion, but I'm pretty sure that's what really irritates so many folks. She doesn't seem a natural politician but an excellent, combative lawyer whose life took her into the political scene. The book dragged in parts but was interesting over all.
