really liked it
bookshelves: written-by-women

The positive: Why did no one ever think to say, "Hey, Sara, you like Arthurian myths and feminist retellings of fairy tales, right? You'd love this." Because, guess what, I DID. It's epic and heartbreaking and funny and weird, and Morgan is such a BAMF and my long-time loathing for most depictions of Guinevere is SO TOTALLY JUSTIFIED (although I did def. start to feel for her by the end of the novel). Just...yes. Excellent.

The negative: Overdone in parts, sure, and ridiculously long, and it's obviously sort of a hippy-dippy-moon-goddess-thing, but I don't even care.

The summary: For the right reader, this is awesome.
