Read from June 24 to 26, 2010

Full of all the folk tales Disney won't adapt to film, each story included features an intelligent, active female heroine. While some certainly end in the happily-ever-after marriage, that is definitely not the point of any of these stories -- none of the girls just sit around waiting to be saved.

A beautifully edited collection of unique "feminist" folk/fairy tales from all over the world.
