Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1)

This book was an OK urban fantasy, but I found it lacked a sense of humour. The plot is predictable, the romance isn't really much to talk about, and the good assassin made me think of Dexter Morgan (killing the bad guys only, but killing them ruthlessly). However, the description of the book hinted that it would make me laugh, and it didn't. I think that if I ever laughed, it was more my own desperation feeling histeric at the lack of funny remarks, than it was the book being funny itself.
I may read the second book in the series, or I may not. Time will tell, and I might give Gin "The Spider" a second chance to hook me into her story, even though the allegedly cliffhanger at the end of the book didn't do the charm.
