I'm not reading these in order, so sometimes I find a story about characters who are mentioned in later books, but that's okay, so far it hasn't detracted from any of the books. Up to now, I would say that this is one of the best In Death books I've read, the story of how Nixie Swisher survives the assassination of her family, and how Dallas hunts down and finds the killers is a rewarding read. Plus, there's the fun bits about how she portrays her future New York, love the autochef, maxibuses, the holoroom (reminders of the holo deck from Star Trek) and the idea of one of the characters being an Air Stewardess on the Earth to Vegas II run.
