** spoiler alert **
Another in the Tom Clancy series of Jack Ryan suspense thrillers only this time it's Jack Ryan Jr. President Ryan has retired and it may be time for young Jack to take over the franchise.
But the book poses a serious question: What the heck has happened to Tom Clancy? After averaging a new novel every two years or so, the well seems to have run dry. "Teeth" was published in 2003. What's the deal? Clancy introduces three new characters in this book. Their stories could certainly have been the basis for another two or three books in the last seven years.
Now that I've finished the book I'm even more perplexed. The book ends with a clear indication that there's more to come. Where is it? "Young" Jack Ryan won't be young forever. C'mon, Tom. Where's the sequel?
