Nubs, an Iraqui wardog, never had an owner to call his own. When a marine, Brian Dennis, met Nubs, they created a wonderful friendship. Nubs however; did not know that the marines couldn't have pets. Brian did something that would melt the heart of any animal lover!

LIterary Elements: This book shows sequence of events very well. The story line is about a Marine and his missions in Iraq. Conflict/resolution can also be found in this book. When Marine Brian Dennis finds Nubs, he knows he has to do whatever it takes to keep Nubs safe.

Image/text: This book contains real photos that allow the reader to see what Nubs, Brian and Iraq look like. There are also maps to show Nubs' trip. There are also copies of Brian's emails back home in the book. All these components together make for a fun and interesting book for the reader!
