I really, really can't believe I read this book or even worse, it's sequels. The story, a beautiful Amish girl who doesn't feel like she fits into her culture. She's in love with a young man who drowns and can't seem to fall for anyone else. Now, if you've ever seen a spanish telenovela, you know where this Amish trilogy is heading. There's wealthy family members, secret children, long lost lovers etc....all the while pounding home the message that being a Mennonite is the true way to follow Jesus Christ.

On the positive side though, these books are an interesting way to see how the Amish live, written by a woman who is familiar with the culture.
