really liked it

This is one of my favorite books. The collection is, on the surface, about the immigrant condition, but it also reflects the human condition beautifully. The stories taken individually are lovely. Taken together they are a symphony.

Teddy I also love this book. It is one that is nice to re-visit from time to time. I liked it even better than her novel, The Namesake, although it is also worthwhile.
