bookshelves: epic-cheery-fantasy

Rae Seddon, "Sunshine", a coffeehouse baker, visits the lake near a bad spot for a while, for a little quiet. Then the vampires find her, dress her in a cranberry red dress, and chain her up next to a vampire, Constantine.

She escapes, and together they, well, it's hard to explain. Strange, wonderful things happen.

This is about the greatest upbeat yet gory book I've read in probably ever. It's like an entire book with the concept "how much mystery can I have and still tell a complete story?"
