Loved it. Couldn't put it down. I read in another review that the reader must remember that "he" is almost always Cromwell. Otherwise, it gets confusing. I don't care for present tense narration and I didn't always like it here. However, it solves the problem of making this oft-retread history come back to life. I have a soft spot in my heart for this book because I always thought Thomas More sounded like a jerk.
