Based on the blurb and some reviews I expected much more than this book has to offer; very pedestrian prose, mostly boring characters and pop-philosophy Wikipedia style that may impress headline news readers but are very shallow; for arguments about faith vs science there is a long list of excellent books from both sides many of which despite being nonfiction are much better written than this one even as prose style goes
Overall this is a book that should be marked a big "not for me" as are pretty much any books that deal with academic characters, intrigues and such, but I hoped there will be some subtlety or at least good writing and sadly both are missing here
