The Feminine Mystique
by Betty Friedan
I can't believe you read this before me. Yeah, I can. Way to go. Also, way to go on actually writing a critique on the books you've read, rather than just rating them. I'm far more likely to check something out with a written comment, rather than just a five-star rating, know what I'm saying?
Peace, yo.
Yeah, Emily, I should probably say that for hardened feminists, this probably won't teach you anything new but it was pretty eye-opening for me to see that some of the main problems women had in the 1950's are still faced by women today. More sad than anything else, really.

I loved this book. My girlfriend hated it. She's sort of a feminist. I'm sort of not. Needless to say the whole debate is pretty complicated. I do know that the "problem that has no name" is still alive and kicking some 50 or 60 years after this book was written so . . . Yeah. Read this book. Decide for yourself.
