Wow, another great edition to this series, but I have to say I'm starting to feel really bad for Jax! She keeps having these awful things happen to her and her friends keep leaving her, plus there's this demented relationship she has with March. I really hope that in the end, she gets some semblance of a happy ending, otherwise I will be so upset. She has really grown on me as the series has begun to wind down, she is such a different person that the one we first saw appear on the pages of Grimspace. I'm holding out hope that she will just be able to sail off to begin to chart new territory.

I loved her interactions with Vel in this book, he is such a sweetheart and it was great to see them grow even closer to one another. I can't stand March and every time he showed up I wanted to strangle him. He pretends to care about Jax, but in the end he really is out for himself and he shows that time and time again. My one complaint, some parts of the beginning were a little slow, especially with the letter exchange going on and also the narration in the present tense was a little strange. Sometimes it felt like it would have been better in the past tense. But it didn't stop me from enjoying the book.

Unfortunately now we have to wait another year for the last book.

Darcy I know how that goes. There is so much of Vel in this one, I love him!
