Made me glad that I've decided after all these years to come out of the closet as a fan of all things Star Wars and start on some of these books. There won't be any more movies for me to enjoy, so why not? Interesting story line, with tie-ins to the movies that keep us on familiar ground. Picks up a few years after ROTJ, and involves plots against a pregnant Leia, a new Dark Jedi (not a fully developed character), an Imperial Grand Admiral scheming to crush the New Republic, and a mysterious woman bent on killing Luke. Because this was written so long before the prequels were made, there are some continuity problems, but nothing significant. My only issue with it is that the characters keep "coincidentally" congregating at the same places at the same time, which makes the story feel (pardon the pun) forced. How is it that people who can travel light years in distances keep tripping over each other?
