This is pretty different from the movie, but has sort of a similar feeling. Roald Dahl has his very own style that is unlike any other children's writer. It's a little old-fashioned, and I think modern kids will like it that this isn't an author who tries to spoon-feed them. And of course all kids can relate to that Harry Potter-esque feeling of thinking IT COULD HAPPEN TO ME when Charlie got his golden ticket. . . .
