This treasury has 20 stories in it - all with the same characters: Poppy and Sam, who live on a Farm. The animals all have names so they become like friends (My favorite "Naughty Wooly"). My daughter has had this book since she was 1 1/2 and the past few weeks has requested this book every night. First she looks at the map of Apple Tree Farm in the beginning of the book (train station, neighbor's, school, sheep field, etc) and we reference the map when we're reading the stories. Good, innocent characters. Nice stories. Find the hidden duck on every page and there's simple text at the top of the page, and more comprehensive text at the bottom.

Kathy Going into week 3 or 4 of this book every night and she is showing no signs of letting up. There's 20 stories, but each of us can now recite them by heart. I still love it, but I can't even suggest anything else before bedtime. I need a break. At least we're reading other things during the day.
