This book is a series of essays, really, on the theme of the relationship (if any) between writing, and freedom. They were all very interesting, though some were much easier to read than others.

I dislike long words, as often they serve to polish a writer's ego at the cost of reader's understanding. But the essays in this book were interesting, even the ones that I struggled with. I had a head cold at the time that I read the book, so I shall try it again when my head is likely to be more able to cope with reading with the assistance of a dictionary.
